Firefighter Disqualifications

Please note the following list of criteria that will automatically disqualify an applicant for membership at CCFD:

1. Arson crime conviction(s)

2. Felony conviction(s)

3. Misdemeanor conviction(s) of theft, fraud, controlled substances, or crimes of violence within the previous ten (10) years

4. DUI conviction within five (5) years, a pending DUI on your current driving record, or two (2) or more DUI convictions on your record within the previous ten (10) years

5. Driving While Suspended conviction within five (5) years, or two (2) or more Driving While Suspended convictions on your record in the previous ten (10) years

6. Three (3) or more major violation driving convictions on your driving record

7. Three (3) or more moving violations (including speeding 15 mph or more over the posted speed limit) within the previous three (3) years, or six (6) or more moving violations on your record

8. Two (2) or more chargeable ACCIDENTS within the previous year (CHARGEABLE means that the driver is determined to be the primary cause of the accident).
