The Campbell County Fire Department (CCFD) currently is accepting applications, relevant copies of relevant certifications and resumes for the position of Fire Marshal.

The CCFD is an all hazards organization that is responsible for 4,807 square miles and approximately 50,000 citizens. We respond to all fires, hazardous materials, technical rescue, and life threatening emergency medical incidents. In 2022 the CCFD responded to 2,827 incident requests for service.


Pay and Benefits

Annual Salary Range: $78,873—$121,534

  • Certification Pay: Up to $2,400.00 annually

  • Annual Paid Vacation Time

State of Wyoming Firefighter Plan-B Pension

  • 2.8% per year of service up to 25 years

  • Employer's Contribution 21.7%

  • Employee’s Contribution 4.05%

**Preferred Certifications**

  • State of Wyoming Drivers License: Class C (ability to obtain within 30 days)

  • Pro Board (2018 or newer) or State of Wyoming Fire Officer II

  • State of Wyoming Fire Inspector II or International Code Council Fire Inspector II (ability to obtain within 12 months)

  • International Code Council Plans Examiner (ability to obtain within 12 months)

  • State of Wyoming Origin & Cause Technician or International Association of Arson Investigators Fire Investigation Technician (ability to obtain within 12 months)

  • American Heart Association—BLS Provider CPR

  • 5 years experience in firefighting, fire investigation and/or fire code administration

Applicants who do not meet the minimum requirements will be evaluated on a case by case basis.

*The State of Wyoming Fire Marshals Office will not grant reciprocity for any IFSAC or Pro-Board certifications that are older than 5 years.
